Supporting Talent

The iconic Hornsea band stage has long been a cornerstone for nurturing up-and-coming talent, providing a welcoming and professional platform where young musicians can truly shine.

Over the years, countless performers have taken their first steps here, gaining confidence, experience, and exposure that has helped propel them on to do incredible things in their musical journeys. There’s something special about watching raw talent evolve in front of a supportive crowd, and it’s a privilege to play even a small part in that journey.

We’re passionate about championing emerging artists, and the stage has become a place where creativity is celebrated and futures begin to take shape.

Supporting young talent isn’t just something we say—it’s something we actively invest in. We provide a full backline, reliable power, and make sure every act is well looked after, with food and refreshments so they can focus on performing at their best.

Beyond the stage, we promote each artist across our social media channels and website, reaching thousands of followers and giving them valuable visibility.

As a community event, this is about more than just music—it’s about creating opportunities, building confidence, and keeping a proud tradition alive. It’s incredibly important to us that we continue to support and grow this platform for as long as possible, ensuring future generations have the same chance to be heard and celebrated.

Providing A Platform for Talent

-Our History-

Linn ” Blako ” GigShop

For as long as the current team can remember, Linn “Blako” GigShop was at the heart of the Carnival Band stage—supporting it year after year with unwavering dedication. His contribution went far beyond just the stage itself; he was a true champion of local talent, always working behind the scenes with gigs, PA systems, lighting, and more, ensuring performers had the platform they deserved both on and off the stage.

Linn was a familiar and trusted presence, known for his hard work, kindness, and that ever-present notebook, carefully filled with details of bands he supported and believed in. He wasn’t just part of the Carnival—he was a pillar of the local music scene and someone countless people relied on.

Hornsea Carnival and the comminty lost a true Carnival legend in April 2025, and it has deeply saddened us all.

We cannot thank him and his Family and team enough for the years of commitment and support he gave—not just to the current team, but to those before us as well. His legacy will continue to live on through the music, the stage, and the community he helped build.

Thank you for the Memories Linn 💔

-Our Future-

Mike – iTsL

Taking this on with Linn’s indirect blessing—having been the person he trusted and asked to step in—Mike from iTSL has continued that legacy with the same drive and determination that defined Linn’s work. He has brought a modern twist to the Carnival Band stage while keeping standards just as high, ensuring both the event and its performers continue to thrive. His commitment to Hornsea Carnival and to supporting bands shines through in everything he does, and we couldn’t ask for more in carrying this forward.

How does it Work

We provide each band with a full backline and professional sound system, set up either on a trailer stage, so you’ll have everything you need to deliver a great performance.

All we ask is that you bring your own breakables and any specific equipment unique to your setup.

Performance slots are typically around 30 minutes across either day, though we’re happy to be flexible and accommodate what works best for you.

While we’re unable to offer payment, we’ll make sure you’re well taken care of with drinks and food vouchers from our vendors, helping to make the experience enjoyable and worthwhile.
