Saturday Night Running Order

A new collaboration between Hornsea Carnival and Hornsea Floral Hall will see a return of party goers to the Floral Hall for Carnival Saturday night.

One of the larger costs to the Carnival is the band tent, which has been a massive favourite since it was introduced. From the cost of the marquee itself to the equipment needed, extra portable toilets and the licenses. Although ticket sales are good the overheads are high. A new collaboration between Hornsea Floral Hall and the Carnival will see the Carnival Saturday bands night move to the hall. Iain added: “It means Carnival now is not just limited to the park we are incorporating the whole town between the parade and the Floral Hall on Saturday night.

We love working with the community and this new collaboration can only be a positive thing. Hornsea Floral have donated the use of the hall and supporting us in this way is brilliant. This is two community organisations bringing things together for the community and keeping the money within the town which is what keeps communities alive. It makes sense to use the Floral Hall and we should have been doing so in the past. It means the Carnival are not spending money on amenities that already exist and we can utilise this elsewhere.”

  • Hats off – 19.30 till 20.30

    • Hats off are a multi award winning band from East Yorkshire , who play a broad range of genres from rock to pop to country and others in which you may find surprising like ska and disco! The band is a female fronted four piece and have been together for 3 years. They are currently bursting through their local music scene with their unique twist on covers and their well- received originals!

  • Breeze – 21.00 till 22.00

    • BREEZE creatively channel their influential heroes Oasis, The Pixies, Kasabian, Muse and (of course) The Beatles – and effortlessly mould it into their own unique musical brew. 2022 saw the band take the limelight by storm in their first year, with the exhilarating “Eyes Wide Open”ADVERTISEMENT

capturing the attention of celebs such as actor Robert Carlyle, who tweeted enthusiastically “90s style goodness……Top tune”. Praise indeed! Hot on the heels of “Eyes Wide Open” came “Adrenaline”, an aggressive and angular offering that aims straight for the jugular and harbours echoes of early Arctic Monkeys. Right Chord Music publication hailed it as a track with “killer riffs…. and a must for any Indie Rock lovers”.

Both singles achieved outstanding results, dazzling fans and setting the band up as well-established indie rockers. Not only that, they scooped up many new fans when they supported James Arthur at a sold out, 3500 capacity show at Brid Spa – and finished the year with two successful UK tours under their belt. Not bad going for a band formed during the ‘you-know-what’ years of pandemic lockdown anxiety…

Now, fully energised and loaded with some killer material, BREEZE are kicking off 2023 with their fourth single, the powerful and promising “She’s Got It”. Reminiscent of a 90s classic band ballad, this song is both nostalgic and refreshing.

If ‘She’s Got It’ is the band’s definition of 2023 then their future looks unstoppable.

  • Headliner – The Amazing – Electric Enemy – 22.30 till 23.30

    • Electric Enemy are a dynamic London-based commercial rock band making music in response to the world around them, speaking to a generation looking for something they can relate to and revel in. The band make music with a message that’s as powerful as their hook laden contagious Heavy Pop sound – with lyrics that tell tales of broken hearts, a broken world, and breaking boundaries.

Jim (guitars/lead vox), Orlando (guitars) and Tom (drums) come together to create a sound which could be likened to Nothing But Thieves, Muse, The Killers and Queens Of The Stoneage but with artistry that could only be Electric Enemy.
