Friday Night Running Order

–  All times can be subject to variation –

Friday 21st July – From 4pm

  • Fairground Open from Early afternoon
  • Craft Tent Open from 4pm till late – Run By the Hornsea Collective Facebook link
  • Food and Drinks Traders from 4pm till late
  • Dr Phantasmas Side Show – 7pm / 8pm and 9pm in the Main Arena
  • Youth Disco – 7pm till 9pm ( Free )
  • Fireworks Display @ approx. 9:45pm
  • Carnival is officially opened by the Mayor and Carnival Royals
  • Please have your change ready as the bucket collectors will be out in force. Everything collected will go towards putting on the carnival in 2024.

Saturday Running Order

–  All times can be subject to variation –

  – Saturday 22nd July  – From 10am

  • 10am – The park is open to Trade + Funfair
  • 10am to 11am Parade Entrants can start to gather at Hornsea School to Setup and Prepare
  • Craft Tent from 10am till 5pm – Run By the Hornsea Collective Facebook link

Parade

  • 11.45: Judging of the floats and other entries by The Carnival Royal Family &  Mayor
  • 12.30: The parade will leave promptly from Hornsea School via the Atwick Road entrance and proceed via Mill Street, Market Place, Newbegin, New Road, Promenade, Little Eastgate, Cliff Road, Newbegin, Mill Street and back to Hornsea School.
  • 1.30pm: The Beverley and District Pipe Band will lead the Mayor, his consort and the Carnival Royals into the park through the Cliff Road entrance.
  • Market Place and other roads will reopen after the parade has passed. Newbegin will remain closed until the parade passes the second time.
  • Please have your change ready as the bucket collectors will be out in force. Everything collected will go towards putting on the carnival in 2024.
  • No Change – Scan the QR Code to Pay money via Paypal

Band Stage

  • 13.30 – 17:00  – Park Stage – Live Bands

Entertainment Arena 1 – from 13.45 

Beverley & District Pipe band , the Knights of Nottingham – Jousting and medieval Re-enactment and First Postion Dance show

  • 13.45 – 14.30 – Knights of Nottingham – Show – 1
  • 14.45 – 15.00 – Beverley & District Pipe band
  • 15.00 – 15.45 – First Postion Dance Troop
  • 16.00 to 16.45 – Knights of Nottingham – Show – 2

Entertainment Arena 2 – from 10am

  • Mechanical Hook a Duck ! – Prizes for the Fastest Times – Small Donation to Support Hornsea Carnvial

    In the Park

    • Fun Fair Open from 10am
    • Festival entertainment in various locations around the park  + Various Cosplayers
    • Circus Avago & Magic Workshop – All day
    • 2pm to 4pm – Near the Music Tent – Poet – Richard Harries – kids poems and  comedy – Free
    • Whacky Will – Stilt Walker
    • Sentinel Squad All Day – Starwars Cosplaying Group – be sure to get some selfies
    • Tin Plate Trike – Vintage Photography – 3 x Shows during the day
    • Rescue and Services Village
    • Walking Football – Beat the Goalie !!
    • Shark-E-Bikes – Electric Bike Demo
    • Lots of Hot Food – and lots of Crafters.

    Saturday Night Music Tent

    The Hornsea Carnival Music tent is back for 2023 with a bang, we have four amazing acts lined up.
    Opening the tent up we have the very talented
    Smooth Operator – Sax & Vocal Duo Tribute
    the truly amazing Young Elton
    Then to finish the night we have  Kinda Queen
    This is THE BIGGEST LINEUP we have had to play at the Music TENT, and we would hate for you to miss out.
    We would like to thank the Pumphouse Brewing Company for providing our fully licensed bar for this event.
