Hornsea Carnival needs another Royal Family, traditionally it has only ever been a Queen with Prince and Princess, well we want the it all.

Yes you heard correctly we are mixing it up, breaking from the norm, what could go wrong, well lots but fortune favours the bold.. so lets all be bold. 

Would you and your family like to be our Royal Family?

As well as opening the Carnival on Friday Night, you will Judge the Floats, along with the Mayor of Hornsea, and be our guests for the full weekend.

ROYAL FAMILY 2022

Well, we had a great response to our first ever Carnival Royal Family, and we must be honest we’ve had a really hard time picking from the selection of truly worthy families!

After lengthy discussions, the committee narrowed it to two families, and we had further discussion on the merits of each family.

In the end, after even more back and forth, the Committee decided to that one family’s involvement with the community made them stand out that little bit further than the rest.

This Family has only been part of the Hornsea Community since 2017. In such a short time, as a family they have become involved with numerous groups and charitable organisations, volunteering their time in addition to running a local business.

And so without further ado, The Hornsea Carnival Committee are proud to declare our first Carnival Royal Family as *drum roll please* ….

Georgina, Rob, Alice & Clara –  Congratulations

We love how you have integrated with the community in such a short space of time. Your passion for the town and the groups you are involved with, in addition to your charity work for Breast Cancer, is amazing! The committee feel you embody what we as a committee think our Royal Family should be, with each of you giving something back to the community.

We cannot wait to have you as part of Hornsea Carnival 2022.
