The true cost of running Hornsea Carnival often surprises many people, as few realise just how much it takes to bring this amazing event to life.

Each year, the Carnival costs approximately £36,000 to deliver over the three-day weekend.

These essential funds are raised through a combination of trader and crafter fees, public donations, business sponsorships, and fundraising events organised throughout the year by our dedicated team of volunteers, who give up their free time to make Hornsea Carnival a success.

Costs continue to rise year after year, with 2022, following the COVID pandemic, seeing the most significant spike in price increases. While some of our suppliers have generously worked with us to keep costs as low as possible, others have understandably had to adjust their prices.
